End of Dot-Com Bubble | The Wall Street Journal, Framed Article Reprint, Oct. 10, 2002
Framed reprint of The Wall Street Journal's coverage of what would become known as the end of the "Dot-Com Bubble."
The Wall Street Journal reported that day on the Dow Industrial's nearly 3% drop on Oct. 9, 2002. In hindsight that day would be the trough for the Nasdaq 100, bottoming out at 1114, down 78% from its peak in March 2000. There was some idea that day was a turning point, the Journal quoted a money manager: “There is a sense that the economy, globally and in the U.S., is recovering. It is a long process and we are on the verge of it.”
